Ancora imparo
Michelangelo
“Ancora imparo” meaning, “I am still learning”, were Michelangelo’s last words.
There was a time when I was content to work from home. It came with freedom to come and go as I pleased and best of all, I was my own boss.
That all seems like a life time ago now. I happily designed websites, created content and curated social media posts for a small number of clients.
It was certainly an interesting time in my life.
Presently, I work as a nanny and I have to tell you, seeing as my two girls are now young women, I didn’t realise how much I missed the company of young children. Yes they can test me but at the same time, I’m kind of like a surrogate grandma, I can leave them in the capable hands of their parents at the end of the day. It is very satisfying.
I created this blog almost a year ago, and after publishing a couple of posts, I didn’t go anywhere with it until now. I can feel the creative juices starting to flow again. I’m easing my way back into writing because I feel the need to give voice to some issues that are very relevant to us all, namely, the Covid 19 pandemic. But more about that another time.
If you have landed here, I hope you will stick around because, I am playing around, again. Ancora imparo.
